Overview[edit]

Cox Air Care is an air ambulance service that is headquartered in Springfield, MO. They provide response to Southern/Southwestern Missouri, Northeastern Oklahoma, and Northern Arkansas. Cox Air Care has a fleet of 2 aircraft, and flies critically ill/injured patients from scenes and smaller rural medical facilities to larger tertiary care hospitals. Response area is generally within a 175-200 mile radius each base.

Cox Air Care is a partnership between Cox Health and the Air Methods Corporation. Cox employs their own flight nurses and paramedics. Air Methods employs the pilots and mechanics, and maintains operational control over both aircraft.
