Overview[edit]

Southern Platte Fire Protection District provides fire protection to 76 square miles of Southern Platte County (including the cities/towns of Farley, Parkville, Waldron, and Weatherby Lake). SPFPD also responds to Houston Lake, parts of KCMO, Lake Waukomis, Northmoor, Platte Woods, and Riverside as needed under various automatic aid agreements.
